Kenai River fishing is where Alaska salmon fishing dreams come true. And when you fish with Bob's Cabin & Guide Service, you will return home with the satisfaction of having experienced the best the Kenai Peninsula has to offer its fishing guests. Our salmon fishing can begin within minutes of the magnificent lodge where some of the hottest salmon fishing on the entire Kenai River occurs. A few minutes boat ride in either direction will put you on salmon fishing holes that are truly world famous and world class for the size of King salmon and Silver salmon they have produced for anglers of all ages. Everyone has an equal opportunity to tie into that "salmon of a lifetime" because our Coast Guard licensed guides provide all the professional tackle, gear, and expertise you'll need to maximize your chances on your salmon fishing trips.

Our dedication to providing you the best personalized experience possible for salmon fishing on the Kenai River shows in our enthusiasm. We love to fish and suggest that our clients opt for the FULL DAY fishing experience to maximize your chance for success. And by full, we mean 10 hours of tracking down your quarry and hooking up. Kenai River fishing for Kings, as well as Silvers, can be elusive targets. So the more time you spend on the water, the greater your opportunity for tying into a monster King salmon the Kenai is famous for.

Kenai Peninsula Halibut Charter Trips

Alaska's wide diversity of fishing opportunities on the Kenai Peninsula allows Bob's Cabin and Guide Service to offer many different fishing experiences in his packages. The rivers we fish contain four species of salmon as well as rainbow trout and Dolly Varden. But Alaska fishing is not just about salmon or trout. Most of our packages also include saltwater fishing for Alaska's premier quarry the Pacific halibut. However it doesn't stop there. Depending on the timing of your visit multi-species Alaska fishing trips on the saltwater are possible and can provide fishing for the highly prized lingcod, yelloweye rockfish and black rockfish besides halibut. At the same time these trips may include fishing for saltwater king salmon or the abundant coho or silver salmon to round out the day of fishing and provide an excellent variety of tasty fillets for the fish box and trip back to your home.

Alaska's Kenai River World Class Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden Fly Fishing

Alaska's Kenai River provides trophy rainbow trout and Dolly Varden fishing for your fishing vacation package. Fly fishing on Alaska's Kenai River offers guided Dolly Varden and trophy rainbow trout fishing.
The Kenai Peninsula is one of the most fortunate recreational regions in all of Alaska. Every type of sport and activity is available on the land, rivers and ocean. For those anglers who enjoy the pleasantries of fly fishing for wild rainbow trout and Dolly Varden, the Kenai River can provide very memorable experiences. The 2009 Fish & Game population study estimated 1000 rainbow trout over 12 inches per mile in the upper Kenai River section. The guides who will accompany you are one of only 20 operations permitted to fish the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge in the Kenai Canyon where pristine conditions see much less pressure. Kenai River fishing in the Fall in the middle river over the spawn has produced many fish exceeding 20 pounds for anglers seeking to catch that once in a lifetime trout. Catch and Release is practiced on these particular trophy fisheries to insure many future generations of anglers will enjoy the same opportunities. Tackle busting Sockeye Salmon, known as "Reds", can also be caught with spin or fly fishing gear on the numerous sand and gravel bars in the middle and upper Kenai River system while experiencing a drift boat trip down this beautiful river. Sockeye average about 8 - 10 pounds in the Kenai River and are excellent eating; fresh or smoked.
