Deposit/Cancellation Policy

50% Non-refundable deposit is required on all reservations within 10 days of booking. Balance due 30 days prior to arrival. Written notice of confirmation will be sent when deposit is received. Dates are booked and confirmed in the order that deposits are received. Deposit is refundable only if cancellation is made 60 days or more prior to arrival date and the cancellation can be filled by the canceling party. Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to scheduled arrival date, will result in the total balance being due and payable at the time of cancellation. We require written notice of cancellation. Non-appearance will result in no refunds. Because bookings are made so far in advance, there will be no reduction in rates or refunds for guests who voluntarily eliminate any of the services included in the booking rate, or who depart the lodge prior to the end of their scheduled stay. No refunds on early departures, missed fishing trips or fishing trips/lodging that you may cancel after arrival. We recommend trip insurance.

Hotel Room in Anchorage

Contact the Barratt Inn at 1-907-243-3131 and ask for the Bob's Cabin & Guide Service Rate. Based on availability, rooms go fast in the summer in Anchorage. Summer rates at Anchorage hotels are very expensive due to the high tourist traffic, but we have worked out a deal for a great room at a great price. The Best Western Barratt Inn amenities include 24-hour airport shuttle, restaurant/lounge, and a walk-in freezer for keeping fish boxes frozen before flying out of Anchorage.

Bed and Breakfast in Anchorage

Visit Alaska's largest city in comfort and convenience. Contact Cliff & Sheila Stratton in Anchorage at 1-888-507-2312 (907-336-2312) and tell them you are staying with Bob's Guide Service. This English elegant B & B is only 20 minutes from the Anchorage Airport and right on your way toward the Kenai River. Limit Regulations on the Kenai Peninsula

Five (5) king salmon: Two(2) on the Kenai River and three (3) elsewhere on the Peninsula's rivers or ocean, but only one (1) king salmon per day. Two (2) halibut daily. Three (3) sockeye salmon and six pink salmon per day. Two (2) silver salmon daily. You can leave Alaska with all of your fish.

Things to Bring

Warm layered clothing, rain gear, comfortable outdoor footwear, warm socks, light-weight to heavy jacket, camera and binoculars. You will need to purchase the necessary fishing license and tag (if King Salmon fishing).

Rental Vehicles

Rental vehicles are available in either Anchorage or at the Kenai Airport. There are no restaurants within walking distance of the lodge. Our insurance does not allow us to rent/loan our vehicles.

Non-Smoking Facilities

Please note that our lodge/cabin facilities are non-smoking. We appreciate your cooperation in not smoking inside any of the facilities.

Flight Arrangements

Please keep in mind that it will take you a minimum of 4 hours after your arrival in Anchorage to retrieve your baggage, rent a vehicle, drive to the lodge, etc. Since our day normally starts very early in the morning (4 am), we ask that all guests plan to arrive at the lodge no later than 9 pm. Therefore, if your flight arrives in Anchorage close to or after 5pm, you should consider staying over in Alaska's largest city for the evening and traveling at a leisurely pace to the lodge the following day. You will find the drive from Anchorage to the lodge will traverse some of the most scenic beauty in North America.

Bob's Cabin & Guide Service reserves the right to make changes for the safety and proper handling of clients and guests. We are always aware of safety; however, outdoor activities of this nature are not risk free. At times, trips in the ocean or fly-outs may be cancelled due to weather. Bob's Cabin & Guide Service reserves the right to substitute these trips. We do not assume responsibility for injury to clients or guests, personal belongings or for time and expense incurred. Bob's Cabin & Guide Service is not responsible for emergency regulatory changes which the Alaska Department of Fish & Game may implement regarding sport fishing. Upon making the deposit to Bob's Cabin & Guide Service, the depositor and guests agree to be bound by all of the above-stated terms and conditions. Prices are subject to change, but will not change once booking is confirmed.
